What is the material you use for your fabric protectors?
All of our soft products are constructed of our proprietary Tight Weave Polyester Webbingwith anti-abrasion, and UV Resistant coatings, making it able to withstand the most severe working environments.

What sizes do your Rope Protectors come in?
SEVERAL! 26, 36 & 46 inch lengths, in both Single & Double Layer, with or Without The ProClip.
Does your material have a melting point?
Yes, melting point is approximately 800°F and well beyond the average 420°F of the average rope.
Why Polyester Tight Weave Webbing?
Polyester webbing is a thermoplastic fiber that has a high melting point and higher than average resistance to abrasion as well. This high resistance to heat & abrasion is just some of the reasons polyester was chosen for our line up of Rope & Edge Protectors.Polyester webbing is also the obvious choice for our application of Rope Protection because of its high strength, low stretch, and excellent resistance to water, mildew, and UV light.
How long can I expect one of your velcro closure Rope Protectors to last?
Longevity of our products is entirely dependent on field use and any exposure to harsh environments. But, we will say that 1 to 2 yrs of use in a normal rope access working environment.
How are The Vortex's sold? As a single or as a set of two?
ALL versions of The Vortex's are ONLY sold as a set of 2. This accommodates a redundant 2 rope system required by most Industrial Rope Access & Rope Rescue organizations.
What is the load rating of The SkyNet?
The Skynet can be loaded up with a STATIC load of up to 40kg. Drop variables are much more difficult to identify.. so, we ask that you use The SkyNet responsibly for the environment that you are working in.
How many different sizes of grid-mesh & Grating can the Vortex fit in?
The OG Vortex was born in the Oil Fields and Job Sites Edmonton & Fort McMurray Canada.. as such, it fits in most Kennedy Grating in the region with a 1" width and a min 3" length. Please see the Vortex Technical Data Sheet for a deeper understanding of how to install it. The Vortex
